On Friday, July 20, Elliot Aronson appeared on the NPR show Talk of the Nation to discuss cognitive dissonance as a major topic in a book called Mistakes were made, but not by me which was co-authored by Carol Tavris.
There was a 3-minute segment in the latter part of the program which covered a discussion of an epidemic in the 80s and 90s when therapists believed in a theory which introduced false memories into their patients.
