AFMA Annual Conference, 10 November.

The Australian False Memory Association is holding its Annual Conference on Saturday, 10 November 2007 at the St Ives Uniting Church, St Ives, Sydney.
Guest speakers:
Dr Deryn Strange
Dr Strange is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. She has published widely in the social and cognitive processes involved in memory, is a writer of chapters in two forthcoming books and has presented papers at professional conferences in New Zealand, Australia and USA. She was a key speaker at last year’s 4th International Conference on Memory held in Sydney.
Mr Greg Walsh
The Sydney lawyer, Greg Walsh, appears frequently for defendants who have been accused of child sexual assault arising particularly from recovered memories. His experience in such cases is a source of the understanding of the legal issues arising in prosecution of allegations of child sexual abuse and examples of the legal processes and their outcomes.
