AFMA Annual General Meeting.

From the latest edition of the AFMA Bulletin, details of its upcoming AGM in Melbourne:
A renowned UK author and advocate, now based in Melbourne, a member of the Law Faculty at the University of Melbourne and the Manager of Workforce Strategy and Regulation in the Victorian Government’s Department of Human Services will be speakers at AFMA’s 2006 Conference and Annual General Meeting, to be held in Melbourne, on Saturday, October 21.
Charles Pragnell is known throughout the UK as a Social Care Management Consultant, child/family advocate and expert defence witness. Now based in Melbourne, Dr Pragnell will be the first keynote speaker at the Conference. Another guest speaker, Vanessa Stafford, of the University of Melbourne’s Law Faculty will speak of her work in “The Innocence Project” which has been set up to deal with problems of wrongful conviction. The third speaker, Ms Judith Abbott of the Victorian Dept of Human Services, will provide an overview of the recent Inquiry and its recommendations and progress with implementation.
