Herman Ohme, a pioneering activist for responsible mental health practices, died on December 23.
A news release doesn't indicate whether he had been in contact with his daughter before he died, but in 2002 he wrote the following:
"...On a personal note: As I write this, today is January 6th, 2002, and it's also my estranged daughter, Laura's, 37th Birthday....and in two weeks, on January 20th it will be exactly 13 years since I have been able to give her a birthday hug and kiss..."
For Herman Ohme, it seems to have started with his daughter seeing a 'Christian' therapist during the late 1980s.
In Australia during the 1990s, at least one Christian denomination was involved with practicing RMT.
